What is sample fulfillment?

Sample fulfillment is storing small trial-size products and shipping them to customers, either on their own, in trial kits or with full-size orders. Matrix does this from our Los Angeles warehouse, with every pick barcode-scanned.

How do you keep small, look-alike items from getting mixed up?

Every sample has its own SKU and barcode, and every pick is scanned in ShipHero WMS before it is packed. That is how we hold 99.8% order accuracy.

Can you build discovery sets and trial kits?

Yes. Discovery sets and trial kits are pre-built as their own SKUs, so they ship complete and pick as a single item.

Can you add free samples to full-size orders?

Yes. Samples can ship on their own or be added to full-size orders, all from the same inventory in ShipHero WMS.

Do you track expiration dates on samples?

Yes. For skincare, cosmetics, supplements and snacks, we track lots and expiration dates and pick first-expired, first-out.

How much does sample fulfillment cost?
