Step 1: Prepare

Export These Four Things Before You Give Notice

  1. 1

    Your SKU and Barcode List

    Export every SKU with its barcode, dimensions and weight. We use it to map your catalog in ShipHero WMS before stock arrives.

  2. 2

    A Current Inventory Count

    Pull an inventory report by SKU, and by lot and expiration date if you track them, so you can match it against our receiving count.

  3. 3

    Your Packing and Shipping Rules

    Write down your boxes, inserts, gift notes and shipping methods. We set the same rules so customers see no change.

  4. 4

    Your Contract and Notice Terms

    Check your current notice period and exit fees, then time the move around them. Matrix is month-to-month with 30 days' notice.

How It Works

Steps 2 to 4: Transfer, Connect and Go Live

    Transfer Your Inventory

    Your current 3PL ships your stock to our Los Angeles warehouse. We receive and count every unit at $10 per pallet or $1.50 per mixed carton.

  2. 02

    Connect Your Store

    We connect Shopify, TikTok Shop and your other channels through ShipHero WMS. Your storefront and checkout stay the same.

  3. 03

    Switch Orders Over

    Once stock is counted, orders route to Matrix. Orders in by 2 PM Pacific ship that day, scan-verified.

How long does it take to switch 3PLs?

We onboard brands within 24 to 48 hours. Your store is connected and your plan is set right away, and same-day shipping starts as soon as your inventory arrives and is counted.

What data should we export from our current 3PL?

Export your SKU list with barcodes, dimensions and weights, a current inventory count by SKU (and by lot and expiration date if you track them), your packing rules and your shipping methods.

Will orders stop shipping during the switch?

We plan the timing with you to keep any gap as small as possible. Your current 3PL can keep shipping until your inventory is received and counted at Matrix, then orders switch over.

How does inventory get to Matrix?
